Abstract:
In March 1475, Brunetta, the wife of Samuele de Bonaventura da Norimberga, one of the defendants in the blood libel trial in Trento, was detained and interrogated under torture in order to obtain a confession about having participated in the assassination of Simonino. She endured the torture and did not admit any guilt, the only one to do so among the 18 Jews accused of the crime.
