Abstract:
Examines the antisemitic legislation in Hungary and the reactions of the Jewish population (along with statistical data on economic status, degree of assimilation, etc.). Concludes that the overall reaction was weak, and was marked by continued confidence that official institutions would protect them from German demands, even at the same time as the antisemitic laws were being passed.
