Abstract:
Analyzes the ambiguous relationship between Jews and Germans. Despite repeated attempts to improve these relations, it is understandable that Jews continue to observe the Germans critically, not only because of past events, but also due to Germany's supplying poison gas to Israel's enemies (e.g. to Iraq) and the activities of neo-Nazis. The strong wish on the part of the Germans to suppress the past has created a new antisemitism, accusing the Jews of vengefulness, avarice, and lust for power. Recommends moderation on both sides to improve the situation.
