Abstract:
Analyzes an unsigned article which appeared in "Quick" magazine (25 April 1985) discussing President Reagan’s scheduled visit to the German military cemetery at Bitburg in May. It accused the Jews of organizing a "gigantic" anti-German press campaign in the USA (in which the Jews are said to accuse the Germans of collective guilt for the Holocaust) and ignores the controversial issue of honoring German war criminals. It claims that Jews control the media, that they are ruthless, as shown in the Lebanon War, and have lost any moral right to make accusations against Germany, and also contests the figure of six million Jews killed in the Holocaust. Relates that this article was well-received by the press, and that it confirms the persistence of antisemitism in Germany.
