    Abstract: Fritz Friedlaender was the descendant of a prominent Berlin Jewish family that included the psychologist Moritz Lazarus; the writers Salomo Friedlaender (Mynona), Ludwig Lewisohn and Arthur Eloesser; and the Social Democratic leader Hugo Haase. He describes a bourgeois home and the assimilation of the author's parents. Also included are notes with various quotations of books and speeches.
