Abstract:
Discusses activities of Moshe Prager (1909-1984) in connection with his research and reporting on the spiritual resistance of ultra-Orthodox hassidic groups in various ghettos, and especially in Warsaw, during the Holocaust. He was born in Praga, a suburb of Warsaw, and fled to Eretz Israel with the rebbe of Gur in 1941. His wife and daughter perished in the Holocaust. He reported on events in Poland for the newspaper "Davar", and in 1947 published one of the first books on the Holocaust, "Hurban Yisrael be-Europa".
