Abstract:
Analyzes claims found in the works of Arab writers, mainly in the left-wing press, that Zionist ideology is equivalent to Nazism. The writers argue that both ideologies originated in the period of colonization and nationalism, and that both are racist and try to exterminate members of the inferior group. They claim that Zionists knew about and even agreed to the extermination of anti-Zionist and proletarian Jews, and cite psychological studies showing that the defeated always seek to emulate the victor. Most of these writers received a Western education, which explains their familiarity with Nazi ideology, and attacks on Israel are intended to encourage hopes that such a regime can be destroyed.
