Abstract:
In the Aktion "Arbeitsscheu Reich", two waves of arrests took place in April and June 1938. More than 10,000 men who were so-called "black triangle anti-social elements" were apprehended, in both Germany and Austria, and sent to the concentration camps Dachau, Buchenwald, or Sachsenhausen. During the "June-action", by direct order of Hitler, the police also arrested about 2,500 Jews who had received convictions previously for various reasons.
