Abstract:
Describes the political situation in Poland immediately after the war and the position of the Jews, including the reemergence of the stereotype of the communist Jew. There was a dangerous tendency to blame all the Jews for suppression of human rights by the new communist authorities. Mentions murders of Jews after the war. In this context, former members of Zegota initiated the establishment of the All-Polish Anti-Racist League in 1946. Describes its program, journal ("Prawo Człowieka"), reaction to the Kielce pogrom in July 1946, etc. Due to pressure from the Polish Workers' Party, the Anti-Racist League was later forced to change its character. The struggle of the League was concentrated against "American and British imperialists" who were persecuting Blacks and other colored people, and texts on Jewish themes appeared only sporadically in the journal.
