Abstract:
All the Jewish papers condemned the Nuremberg Laws, and feared that Poland would follow suit. They varied in regard to how Polish and world Jewry should respond. Zionist papers indicated that this was a clear sign that the Jews must emigrate to Eretz Israel. Some papers suggested emigration to other countries. There was a call for unity, and to exert pressure on the League of Nations and on British Mandate authorities to increase immigration quotas for Palestine. Controversy flared up again in regard to the Transfer Agreement, which was sharply criticized in various Jewish circles, especially the Bund.
