Abstract:
In spring 1944, when Germany occupied Hungary, Dr. Moshe Berner and his family were deported - together with all the Jews from Vásárhely - to Auschwitz. Berner, the only member of his family who survived, describes here the fate of the Vásárhely Jews from the beginning of the occupation to their first day in Auschwitz.
