Kurzfassung:
Ramon Martí (c. 1220-1284) was an outstanding Aragonese theologian as well as an anti-Judaic and anti-Islamic polemicist. Argues that contrary to widespread opinion, Martí's major polemic work "Pugio fidei" did not "go unnoticed for centuries" but influenced subsequent Catalan anti-Judaic polemics. However, this influence can be traced not from Ramon Llull (1232-1316) and Arnau de Vilanova (c. 1240-1311), as some scholars believe, but only from the later theologian Francesc Eiximenis (c. 1327-1409), who drew heavily on Martí's explanation of the Tetragrammaton. In particular, Arnau's arguments that the Tetragrammaton leads to the dogma of Trinity and that Jewish law is not eternal varies from Martí's arguments on the same point.
