Abstract:
aim of the article is to present the examples of rabbis and religious teachers from Inowrocław (in 19th and the first half of 20th century). Their intellectual activity belong to the paradigm of Wissenschaft des Judentums – scientific knowledge of Judaism. This pattern followed not only the young rabbis educated at universities with scientific titles – doctors (PhD). Also their parents, so strongly focused on religious studies on the Bible, Talmud and rabbinical literature, sought tended to deepen their knowledge of Judaism and their spirituality. In both generations we can speak about spirituality based on strict religious knowledge and practices
