Abstract: In the wake of the Holocaust there is a growing interest among Christians to revise their attitudes toward Jews - from exclusion and the teaching of contempt to tolerance and respect. One of the reactions is to reconsider Paul's views, a key reference point in Christian-Jewish relations. States that the anti-Jewish stances traditionally attributed to Paul were nothing more than pragmatic arguments in a time of conflict with the Synagogue, meant to stop Judeo-Christian practices, such as observance of circumcision. Argues that Paul's writings (e.g. Romans 11) are full of declarations of brotherhood towards Jews, which can form the ground for a new relationship between Christians and Jews.
