Abstract:
In this article the author examines the consequences of the expulsion of Jews from the Juridical Faculties in 1938. Some of the expelled professors never returned, nor the field has ever again seen Jewish participation of such great number and high quality as before the war. This could be one of the causes, even if not necessarily the most important, of the cultural stagnation of Italian jurisprudence and its influence on other legal systems.
