Abstract:
Jews from the Siegkreis were evacuated from their homes in the summer of 1941 and interned in an emptied Reich labor camp in Much, Germany, in preparation for their deportation. An entire network of such "residential and labor camps" were set up in Germany to accommodate Jewish families who were rounded-up but "had to wait their turn" to be deported.
