Abstract: Antisemitism is especially potent in the Arab-Islamic world today. There is a culture of hatred that permeates publications, sermons, the media, and the Internet in the Arab Middle East. The ideological antisemitism that characterizes Islamist thinking is driven by an irrational belief that history is determined by the evil machinations of the Jewish people. Since 1948, the major threat to the survival of the Jewish nation gradually switched from Europe to the Arab Islamic world, fueled by a "politicidal" anti-Zionist ideology whose main thrust has always been the destruction of Israel as an independent state. Sketches European antisemitism of the late 19th-early 20th centuries, the Nazi-Arab nexus, and Soviet anti-Zionism. Militarism, the glorification of force, and a nihilistic cult of death are traits that Nazis, fascists, as well as Islamists had and have in common. They also share demonology of the Jew, and a penchant for conspiracy theories of history, society, and civilization. Each of these modern ideologies declared war on Judeo-Christian and Enlightenment values and sought, or are seeking, the downfall of Western liberal democracy.
