Abstract:
The Italian academic world provided fascist antisemitism with an intellectual basis, and in 1938 acquiesced in the anti-Jewish laws and the expulsion of Jews from the universities. Examines the case of Guido Tedeschi (1907-1992) who was expelled from the Faculty of Law at the University of Siena in 1938. He then emigrated to Eretz-Israel and taught at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem until 1976.
