Abstract: Comments on Steven Spielberg's film "Schindler's List", underlining its simplicity and sentimentalism, which do not reflect what the Holocaust really was. States that there is already in the USA a "Schindler's List effect" which is doing harm rather than teaching people about the Holocaust and human suffering. Concludes that showing Spielberg's film to young people of various ethnicities and believing that the film would teach them to be tolerant towards others is pure naiveté.
