Abstract:
Describes the persecution of the Jews during the occupation in the northern regions of France, which were annexed to the German military commander of occupied Belgium. Discusses the census of the Jews and the first deportations in December 1940, anti-Jewish legislation, Aryanization of Jewish property, and forced labor for the German war effort. also describes the deportation of the Jews through the Malines camp (in Belgium), as well as local rescue efforts.
