Abstract:
Surveys and analyzes excerpts from articles and correspondence from the American and Canadian Jewish press of the 1970s-80s relating to Polish-Jewish relations, discussions of books on this subject, and the Carmelite convent affair. Contends that the American and Canadian Jewish press is full of anti-Polish stereotypes, demonizes antisemitism in Poland, and holds Poles responsible for the Holocaust.
