Abstract:
This publication is a compilation of the lectures delivered at the twenty-seventh annual Passover Conference of the Society for Jewish Art held in 1995. The conference sought to examine different aspects of the artistic encounter and the mutual influences between the visual cultures of the Jewish and the Arab peoples from the Middle Ages until the present.
