Abstract:
The book, to be used by the community’s cantor, was prepared and illustrated by the professional scribe Moshe Sofer. Next to well known Jewish scholars, the Memorbuch mentions the following families: Weingarth, Treuman, Lemle, Weisenburger, Apfel, Herzberger, Reis, Flehinger, Weingertner, Rothschild, Ettlinger, Weil, Neubuerger, Feiss, Lichtenberger, Laemelen, Marx, Liberles, Herzberger. The last entry was made in 1884
