Kurzfassung:
Parashat ha-Shabtaut includes some 45 lectures on the Sabbatean movement, from its inception to its decline, that Gershom Scholem gave at the Hebrew University (1954-55). His then-student, Rivka Schatz (1927-1992), published them as early as that same year, under the title Parashat ha-Shabtaut. Elqayam has edited, and introduced this book, updating the research in the notes. This edition makes a highly significant contribution to understanding one of the principal research enterprises in Jewish Studies of the previous generation.
