Abstract:
Zacharias Frankel was born in Prague in 1901. He received a doctorate from the University of Budapest in 1831 and became the chief rabbi of Teplitz and later Dresden. He became the first president of the Jewish Theological Seminary in Breslau, where he died in 1875.
