    Abstract: The second part of the memoirs concentrate mainly on the author's student life and Zionist awakening in Vienna at the turn of the 20th century. Ernst Mueller enrolled in studies of mathematics and physics at the Vienna University. Recollections of his colleagues, among them Felix Ehrenhaft, Olga Steindler and Hans Hahn. Occasional articles for the Zionist paper "Die Welt". Member of the Jewish student organization "Lesehalle juedischer Studenten" and the Zionist student association "Unitas". In 1900 Ernst Mueller joined the newly established Jewish "Toynbee-Halle" in Vienna, which was founded by Leon Kellner. Growing influence of Zionism. Participation in the "Juedischer Turnverein". Ernst Mueller was a member of the Jewish student's association in Vienna. Opposition of his parents against his growing involvement in Jewish and Zionist matters. Military service in the Austrian army. Assistant teacher at the "Sophiengymnasium". Acquaintance with Nathan Birnbaum and Martin Buber.
