Kurzfassung:
Describes the foundation of two forced labor camps - in Szczeglacin (in 1940) and in Bartków Nowy (in 1941) - set up to deal with the drainage and irrigation program in the Warsaw district. The Germans tried to force Polish peasants to work there, but they did not succeed. Instead, Jews were brought from the ghettos in Sokołów Podlaski and Mordy. In October 1942 most of the Jews were murdered on the spot and the camps were closed.
