    Abstract: In dieser Studie wird untersucht, wie mittelalterliche und frühneuzeitliche (Kultur-)Geschichte in deutsch-jüdischen Periodika der Jahre 1837–1938 aufgenommen, dargestellt und bewertet worden ist. Mit der exemplarischen Analyse wird eine Forschungslücke gefüllt. Die zentrale Fragestellung ist, inwiefern die veränderte Perspektive ein – verglichen mit dem gegenwärtigen – neues Geschichtsbild eröffnet. Der Schwerpunkt der Analyse liegt dabei auf den die jüdische Bevölkerung betreffenden Aspekten. Die Darstellung der modernen Geschichtsforschung ist der Analyse der Artikel in jedem Themenfeld als Grundlage vorangestellt. Es ergibt sich in Summe kein gänzlich neues, aber ein erweitertes Geschichtsbild

In The Western Wall: The Dispute over Israel's Holiest Jewish Site, 1967–2000 , Kobi Cohen-Hattab and Doron Bar offer a detailed exploration of the Western Wall plaza’s evolution in the late twentieth century. The examination covers the role of archaeology in defining the space, the Western Wall’s transformation as an Israeli and Jewish symbol, and the movement to open it to a variety of Jewish denominations.     Abstract: "In this analysis of the life of Arnošt Frischer, an influential Jewish nationalist activist, Jan Láníček, reflects upon how the Jewish community in Czechoslovakia dealt with the challenges that arose from their volatile relationship with the state authorities in the first half of the 20th century. The Jews in the Bohemian Lands experienced several political regimes in the period from 1918 to the late 1940s: the Habsburg Empire, the first democratic Czechoslovak republic, the post-Munich authoritarian Czecho-Slovak republic, the Nazi regime, renewed Czechoslovak democracy and the Communist regime. Frischer's involvement in local and central politics affords us invaluable insights into the relations and negotiations between the Jewish activists and these diverse political authorities in the Bohemian Lands. Major turning points in history, like the Separation War in 1948, the military occupation in 1967, and the Oslo peace process in 1993, are explained in the context of previous social and economic resistance struggles that affected the political outcomes
