Abstract:
Publishes two versions, the Spanish original and the modern Spanish translation, of the Hebrew manuscript (after 1330) of the first of the anti-Jewish polemical letters of the Converso Alfonso de Valladolid. The polemic is centered on the interpretation of Daniel's vision of the beasts as a key to the time of the Messiah's coming, a central theme of the Judeo-Christian controversy during the Middle Ages.
