Abstract:
The trials of war criminals who perpetrated crimes in the Brest region were held in three countries: the USSR, the USA, and Great Britain. In 1962 a trial was held in Baranovichi against four staff members of the concentration camp Koldychevo. The U.S. judiciary prepared a case against Sergei Hutyrchik from the same camp, but he died before he could go to trial. Dwells on the trial of Andrei Savonyuk, who participated in the mass murder of Jews in Domachevo, Belarus, in September 1942 - 2,900 people were murdered. The trial was held in London from 1995-99; Savonyuk was sentenced to life in prison.
