Abstract: Contains opinions of the author, prepared at the request of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, concerning six antisemitic books published between 1998-2002. The Prosecutor intended to open a case against the sale of antisemitic publications, based on the author's expertise. Two of the six publications are reprints from 1923 and 1936, while the others were written in the early 2000s. Tomaszewski proves that all of these publications manipulate historical facts and propagate the myth of a "Jewish conspiracy" to destroy Poland. The pamphlets instigate hatred of the Jews as a group and as individuals. Notes that the Prosecutor, who intended to bring actions against the authors and distributors of the antisemitic publications, was removed and the inquiry was discontinued.
Note: With an English summary. A review of six books (1998-2002, including two reprints from 1923, 1936).

Abstract: Discusses causes of the antisemitic disturbances in the beginning of the 1930s in Poland, such as the economic crisis which exacerbated social conflicts and the political struggle of the Endecja camp against Piłsudski's rule. The demagogic campaign of the National Democrats used antisemitic slogans as a political tool, and presented the ruling cadres as influenced by Jewish circles and therefore harmful for Poland. Presents three documents on pp. 79-92: two are interpellations of Jewish and non-Jewish parliament members (Izaak Gruenbaum and others) to Janusz Jędrzejowicz, Minister of Religions, and to Bronisław Pieracki, Minister of the Interior. The interpellations describe violent acts organized by Endecja students at Warsaw University and demand firm action against these disturbances. The third document is a response by Jędrzejowicz. The documents are in the Archives for New Documents (Archiwum Akt Nowych) in Warsaw.

Abstract: Attempts to explain the anti-Jewish disturbances in the region of Rzeszów after the fall of the Habsburg monarchy and the founding of the Polish state. Peasants hoped that their situation would be improved; the Polish and Jewish proprietors and arendars were viewed as their enemies. Because the expected reform of land division did not occur, pogroms broke out on Easter (21 April) 1919 and continued until May 12th. The Cabinet appointed a special commission to check the events. Pp. 61-76 contain the report of this commission (signed on 31 May 1919). The report describes the disturbances, analyzes their causes, and points to those responsible. It states that the disturbances could have been directed by elements interested in anarchy in order to later bring in Bolshevik rule. Antisemitism was considered to be the most important cause of the disturbances, but the explanation of this phenomenon, according to Tomaszewski, is based on existing stereotypes of the Jews (e.g. their wealth, their hostility to the Polish state).
