Abstract:
Examines the reflection of Nazi Germany's extermination policies in German historiography of the 1960s. Analyzes the perspectives of three historians - Martin Broszat, Ernst Nolte, and Karl Dietrich Bracher. Broszat emphasized changes in the structure of government during the Nazi period. Nolte concentrated on Nazi racial ideology and its implementation. Bracher's thesis is a combination of the two: the anti-Jewish policy was based on Nazi ideology, but the implementation of the Final Solution was possible due to the structure of the regime.
