Abstract:
Notes that esoteric teachings are enjoying great popularity in German-speaking countries, and that many esoteric publications and ca. one in four of esoteric societies belong to the radical right. The most-read radical-right esoteric writer is Helsing (pseudonym of Jan Udo Holey, b. 1967), author of the two-volume work "Geheimgesellschaften" (Ewert Verlag, 1993-95). This book, though banned in Germany, is widely sold under the counter and is also available through the "Thule-Netz" on the Internet. A videotape interview with Helsing is also widely distributed. Helsing propagates the theory of the Jewish world conspiracy and Holocaust denial. Traces his connections with the network of writers, organizations, publishers and other agencies that disseminate esoteric literature laced with neo-Nazism and Holocaust denial.
