Abstract:
Analyzes and quotes extensively from the testimonies of two Jewish women who were the only survivors of the prisoners' execution in the Poniatowa labor camp. This execution was part of "Operation Harvest" ("Erntefest") carried out in the first week of November 1943 in the camps Trawniki, Poniatowa and Majdanek. Both women, Ludwika Fiszerowa and Estera Rubinsztejn, managed to get to Warsaw where they lived until the end of the war with help from the Żegota organization. Pp. 79-89 contain the text of the testimony by Ludwika Fiszerowa.
