    Abstract: Jerusalem ist der Schmelztiegel der monotheistischen Weltreligionen, eine religiöse Metropole, in denen Christen, Juden und Muslime zusammenleben. Häufig war die Stadt Zentrum blutiger Auseinandersetzungen, aber es gab auch Zeiten des friedvollen Miteinanders. Mit ihrem Jerusalem-Programm möchte das Pera Ensemble auf eben jene Episoden der interreligiösen Verständigung verweisen und stellt Musik der drei Weltreligionen aus verschiedenen Epochen zusammen. Neben jüdischen und muslimischen Gesängen, Kompositionen von Giovanni Felice Sances und Walther von der Vogelweide erklingt hierbei das neuentdeckte »Gerusalemme Liberata« von Carlo Pallavicino.
