Abstract:
Discusses the expropriation of Jewish property by the local authorities of Fürth. The first deportation of 1,000 Jews from Fürth and the surrounding area to Riga (Latvia) took place on 29 November 1941, followed by the deportation of 237 Jews to Izbica (Poland) in March 1942, and 159 Jews in September 1942 to Theresienstadt. After the first deportation, the sale, Aryanization, and looting of Jewish property began, organized by the mayor of the town. The clearing out of Jewish apartments was concluded by February 1943. Profits from the liquidation amounted to 87,200 RM.
