Abstract:
Part one of this article quotes reports from 1933, found in the Archiwum Akt Nowych in Warsaw, in which individual examples of persecution of Jews in Germany (mostly Polish citizens) are described in detail. The reports also contain information about the activities of the Polish missions in Berlin in defense of the Jews, e.g. intervention with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Part two of the article (published in BŻIH 147-148) contains reports regarding the Germans' preparations for the boycott of Jewish businesses in Germany on 1 April 1933, with emphasis on the situation of the Jewish Polish citizens and the intervention of the Polish diplomatic services in their defense. Includes copies of some German documents.
