Abstract:
Surveys the themes of the Holocaust and antisemitism in the works of Norwegian poets, both Jews and non-Jews (e.g. Gunvor Hofmo, Sigmund Skard), between 1936-80s. Discusses some prose works as well. The works refer to Nazi persecutions in Germany, the "Kristallnacht" pogrom, the Warsaw ghetto, Auschwitz, and antisemitism in Norway both during and after the Holocaust.
