Abstract:
The journal "Sur", founded by Victoria Ocampo, opposed fascism and Nazism at home and in Germany, protested against the persecution of Jews, and published testimony about the concentration camps. "Sur" published philosemitic materials (including by Borges), and Ocampo personally attempted to help persecuted Jews.
