Abstract: Analyzes the relationship between Jews and Christians in the early 5th century in the Roman Empire. Refers to the works of the Church Fathers and archaeological findings of Jewish inscriptions. Discusses, in detail, the epistle attributed to Bishop Severus of Minorca on the forced conversion of 540 Jews in Minorca in 418. Describes, also, the persecution of Jews and the razing of synagogues in 393 and 576.
