Abstract:
The "Acción Revolucionaria Mexicanista", better known as the "Camisas Doradas" ("Gold Shirts"), was a Mexican fascist, secular, antisemitic, anti-communist, ultra-nationalist paramilitary organization, which was founded in September 1933 in Mexico City and operated until it was disbanded in 1936. With ultra-nationalist, strikebreaking roots and Nazi German financial support, the organization sought to expel Chinese, Jews, and communists from Mexico. Cárdenas, who served as president of Mexico from 1934 to 1940, ordered the dissolution of the group in February 1936.
