Abstract:
Tribute to the banker Max Moritz Warburg (1867-1946) at the Annual Meeting of the Joint Distribution Committee: Warburg assisted the "Hilfsverein der deutschen Juden" to create a central organization for the relief and emigration of Jews in Eastern Europe. Max Warburg stayed in Germany until 1938 and risked his own life to help Jewish people escaping from the terror of Nazlism.
