Abstract:
Analyzes and characterizes three waves of publications regarding women, children, and families in the Holocaust, published right after the war, in the early 1950s, and from the mid-1970s. Most of the publications are memoirs by survivors. Studies have appeared mainly since the mid-1970s, as part of more general studies and not as independent research on women, children, or families. Concludes that the study of women has actually just begun, while the study of families and children is much more advanced.
