Abstract:
Based on testimonies by Holocaust survivors from Zduńska Wola, describes the fate of the Jewish population of the town (ca. 10,000) during the war. Gives details on the foundation of the ghetto, and focuses on its liquidation at the end of August 1942. More than 8,000 Jews were murdered in Chełmno, and more than 1,000 were sent to the Łódź ghetto. A list of the Jews killed in 1942 is appended.
