Abstract:
Rural Jewish life in Wuerttemberg; unsuccessful search for employment as ritual slaughterer in Frankfurt am Main; return to Heilbronn as ritual slaughterer and butcher; providing good education for seven children; one son became editor-in-chief of the "Strassburger Neue Zeitung"; Strasbourg in World War I.
Abstract:
Also included are memoirs by his son Leopold (childhood in rural Jewish atmosphere; education and apprenticeship as a pharmacist) and Leopold Rosenthaler's obituary.
