Abstract:
Vor mehr als 100 Jahren behauptete der zaristische Geheimdienst, an die Mitschriften des zionistischen Weltkongresses von 1897 gekommen zu sein. In 24 Protokollen hätten die Juden dort Pläne zur Übernahme der Weltherrschaft skizziert. Daß es sich dabei um ein Konstrukt des Antisemitismus handelt, ist schon oft wissenschaftlich bestätigt worden. Warum jedoch dieses Pamphlet mehr denn je ein zentrales Referenzdokument des Antisemitismus darstellt, ist schwieriger zu beantworten. Der Autor geht der Frage nach, welche Bedürfnisse nach Welterklärung die Protokolle erfüllen, wie Legendenbildung funktioniert und welchen Sinn Mythen stiften. (Quelle: Verlag).
