Abstract
Among Eliphaz’s last words to Job in MT Job 22:30, ’î-nāqî (NJPS: »guilty«) and venimlaṭ bebōr kappêkā (NJPS: »He will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands«) present substantial interpretative challenges. Rather than ending with words of hope or encouragement in his third and final speech, this short article argues that Eliphaz ends his speeches with his most serious allegation against Job.

Unter den letzten Worten des Elifas an Hiob in MT Hi 22,30 stellen die Ausdrücke ’î-nāqî (NJPS: »guilty«) und venimlaṭ bebōr kappêkā (NJPS: »He will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands«) die Auslegung vor beträchtliche Herausforderungen. Der Artikel kommt zu dem Ergebnis, dass Elifas die dritte und letzte seiner Reden nicht etwa mit Worten der Hoffnung und Ermutigung beschließt, sondern vielmehr mit seiner schwerwiegensten Anschuldigung gegen Hiob.

Les dernières paroles d’Elifaz à Job dans le TM en Job 22,30, ’î-nāqî (NBS: »coupable«) et venimlaṭ bebōr kappêkā (NBS: »[Il] devra sa délivrance à la pureté de tes mains«) présentent des défis interprétatifs importants. Plutôt que de terminer par des paroles d’espoir ou d’encouragement dans son troisième et dernier discours, cet article défend qu’Elifaz termine par son allégation la plus grave contre Job.
