Abstract
The paper analyses the most significant exegesis of the Creation narrative in Eusebius’s work. This exegesis reveals Eusebius’s deep and hidden dependence towards Origen – especially his idea of a “double Creation” (intelligible and sensible Creation). The question remains which works of Origen were used by Eusebius and why Origen is not openly mentioned.
