Monetary Policy Reports

Pursuant to Section 55 of the Bank of Israel Law, the Monetary Committee publishes a semiannual report on monetary policy, usually published about two weeks after the end of each half-year, which it also presents to the government and to the Knesset Finance Committee. The report summarizes the Bank of Israel’s monetary policy measures during the past half-year. It includes short reviews of developments in a variety of areas, including inflation, economic activity, the global economy, and the exchange rate, as well as forecasts and projections. In addition, the Report presents the policy that the Monetary Committee believes is necessary in order to maintain prices within the range set by the government, and to obtain other objectives. They also include tables and figures that present the data used by the policy makers during the reviewed period. This report was published even before the Monetary Committee was formed.
