Abstract:
Relates the fate of Kafka's three sisters during the Holocaust: Ottla Davidová (b. 1892) was transported from Theresienstadt to Auschwitz, where she was gassed; Gabriela Herrmannová, who was deported to Łódź in October 1942, and Valerie Pollaková, who was deported to Łódź along with her husband in November 1942, died in Chełmno in September 1943. Information on the latter two sisters was obtained from the Łódź ghetto archives.
